In James Dean' hotrod they went after the motorcycle gang leader Hydra, just to be trapped in Peguses claws. Down at the river they met Medusa. Michal' death is what made it pesonal. Elvis took Jason to meet Abe Lincoln. Abe' advise got him to confront the gatekeeper, Ares the Minotaur. Inside the crystal chalice he killed Amphista the two heads serpent, then Hydra the nine heads dragon.
